IIIIIIIIIIIT'S PLUG A FRIEND'S PROJECT TIME!

MooMan1 has recently been hard at work developing his very own Persona 3/Persona 3 FES/Persona 4 Calculator for all your "Hey, I'm A Japanese Schoolboy Who Pulls Pokemon Out Of His Head" needs. The current alpha build supports two-way fusion spreads for Persona 3, Persona 3 FES, and, Persona 4, with three-way spreads and fission coming in the future. Images will also be implemented for all Personae with a future update.

Remember, that this is a work in progress, and there are bound to be some issues that may crop up. In any instance that you need to get into contact with the creator, direct all email to mtuskey@gmail.com.

I'll be posting release updates to this program as they become available, and you can also keep track of its development at MooMan1's blog.

A Whole Notta Updating Going On
May 11th, 2010

Just a quick note that things are likely to grind to a screeching halt around here for a good long while.

Work has just officially stiffed me with the worst shift EVER (4pm-2am) for anywhere from three to four months, leaving me with the absolute worst hours of the day to try and be productive and a no heads-up on having time to fix my sleep schedule properly. This doesn't leave me a whole hell of a lot of time for anything or anybody, let alone trying to do stuff for the site, so projects I had planned to get started on as soon as this weekend are, in all likelihood, commpletely and utterly shot.

This also means that since the odds of me having time or even wanting to fart with guest contributed content are fairly slim, I won't be accepting anything new until I can get all this sorted out. Fat Kakashi, decoy octopus, Vanor Orion, and FreezingInferno are all the exception to this, as they've cleared projects with me beforehand (either already in progress, or are currently in the creation phase), so new stuff will still be coming. Just not from me. (whoop-dee-doo!)

Soooo yeah, go read some Final Fantasy or something. I have a sleep schedule to try and wreck for the short-term.

How 'Bout...The Taser!
May 5th, 2010

HAPPY CIRNO DE MAYO, YOU COCK-GOBBLING HONEY NUT CLUSTER FUCKS! It's a day of celebration, bitches, so go do something. I don't particularly care what.

Anyway, this past weekend I took a trip back to wild and wonderful 1999. Yep, that 1999. A time when we loved our videogames all jaggy and blocky with the pukiest-looking texture maps you could ever imagine. On a whim, I spent the entire weekend sitting on my ass and playing through the entire Syphon Filter PlayStation 1 trilogy. The fact that the text is pink means it's a link and that means I had a whole lot to say about it and expect one or two people to have a look at the words I done did. You can do that if you want.

If you came here for something else, welp, I guess you're just out of luck! If you came for shooty action and super secret spy thrills, then wow, it sure is your day. Maybe you should play the lottery. And when you win, you should share it with me, because it was my great idea!

Yes, It Can Still Be Animu Tiem
May 3rd, 2010

Ugh! God, what is this some kinda gay ass [REDACTED]gy Japanese Cartoon month bullshit? Not really, that's just how the updates aligned. I'll probably have something a little more manly to talk about a bit later in the week.

I've have a big fat ol' Japanese Cartoon backlog to slog through for some time. Lotsa shit that I ended up buying last year (Best Buy 50% Sale...oof!) that I haven't had time to get to, or want to review in the future, so though the Feature is a bit neglected at times, it's not due to lack of material to write about. That's why today I've posted my oh so brilliant thoughts on a little series called Kino's Journey. It's about a girl and her talking motorcycle! We should all have talking motorcycles! Talking motorcycles may just be the key to world peace!

Anyway, there's your goddamn update! Don't like it? TOUGH TITTY!

Titty!

Another Animu'ish Update'ish!
May 2nd, 2010

We're back to bring happines and joy to your boring, boring Sunday with more Japanese Cartoon-type fun!

Though today's update is Japanese Cartoon inspired, it's not exactly a Japanese Cartoon review! How about a Japanese Cartoon licensed videogame that's sure to delight SMPS.Net netizens? Well, that's the great idea that Vanor Orion had when he shipped off a review of The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces for the Nintendo Wiiwii. While I personally felt the Japanese Cartoon itself was a bit of a sedative (Please, will someone get Oshii on a leash again?) maybe a videogame about the intense dogfights could be fun and interesting!

I've also got a bit of a plug to make here that may interest fans of recent Persona offerings (P3FES/P4). Old-timey friend of the site MooMan1 has been hard at work on a downloadable Persona Fusion Calculator as you'll see by reading his dev blog. Since I'll be playing through P4 again sometime in the near future (memory card died last time I was playing and I never went back) I'm certainly looking forward to seeing what it has to offer. And, of course, once it releases, you'll be able to read all about it and find it here.

And thaaaaaaaaaat's Sunday!

Now That Operation Nora Is Over
May 1st, 2010

Alright, did all you people get all that Final Fantasy XIII out of your system? Had enough Operation Nora and dampness that is damp for one month? That's good. Unfortunately.....I'm still playing it... My OCD for HAVING to finish something once it's started strikes again. This game just Xenosaga Episode II'd me. I figure at some point, I'll have to review it now, even though Pat already has, but oh well. You'll learn to deal with it. In the meantime, we get the month started with some Japanese Cartoons.

Today is a bit of a first! I'll be posting our very first guest Japanese Cartoon review brought to us by brand-new site contributator, Alex Hill. He was impressed enough with my wishlist entry of Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, that he decided to go ahead and give it a review. Why not give it a look and see if cartoons about people surviving earthquakes is your kinda thing. Now, don't go thinking I'll be accepting guest Japanese Cartoon reviews all the time just yet. This was a bit of a test to see how it'd work out and it was all negotiated beforehand. I still haven't yet fully decided to make the Japanese Cartoon feature a free-for-all contributator fest or not, so we're still playing it by ear.

And on that note, I'll be back in another day or two with another Japanese Cartoon review. OH BOY OH BOY I KNOW THAT'S JUST WHAT YOU WERE WAITING FOR!

And don't forget...All This Dampness (Is Damp). You love it! YOU KNOW IT! WE ALL DO!
