More Call of Doopy Stuff
November 26th, circlenine

The internet has been lovingly ravished by my bright, always relevant, and unforgettable opinions concerning Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, but I know how you rabid Call of Duty-heads are. You just can't get enough!

Well, lucky for you, our dear friend FreezingInferno over at the ol' YouTubes decided to share his thoughts on the game as well as give it the ol' Let's Play treatment. You can watch it below.

Thanks, Frezno. You're awesome, dood.

Happy Fucking Thanksgiving, right? Yeah, I know!

Helping Make Your Black Friday Purchasing Easier
November 25th, circlenine

Welp, it's gettin' to be about that time of the year again: Christmas Shopping Time. Those good ol' Black Friday sales are just a little over a day away now, so I figured while you're on your way to Wal-Mart to be trampled to death, I'd help out with at least one of your holiday gift-giving ideas this year.

It's inescapable, I know. You can't get away from the hype and buzz no matter where you go, and after reading email after email of folks wanting my highly-regarded opinion on the matter, I've decided to give in and post a review for the highly-acclaimed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. There, now you guys can finally stop asking and get to reading.

Happy Thanksgiving!

SnS on NES
November 23rd, circlenine

We did this back during SNES Week earlier this year with decent results, so we figured why the fuck not do it again and see if we can't rope some more people in. This time, we're putting our good pal the NES up for best-game top honors and would like your help in compiling this list.

Submitting your own list for the project is easy. All you have to do is follow the simple guidelines listed here and post a list. If you're already a member of the forum, it'd be cool if you could log-in and put some thought into a nice list of 25 games (or less) and write a little blurb about each. If you're not a member, feel free to register and post a list. And stick around for a while, why don'tcha?

The list will be posted on the site sometime in early January of 2010, so get to makin' dem lists things!

Shut Your Pluckin' Face, Forum Plucker!
November 8th, circlenine

I told you I'd be pluckin' some more of dem dere reviews from the Reviews Forum over at SnS. And today we got two new ones from a brand-new contributator.

Welcome QuantumCrayons aboard the SMPS.Net Contributator Express! He submitted a couple reviews to the reviews forum a little while back and we're reproducing them here on the main site because we're just that nice.

The first is a a review of Ys Strategy for the DS. The game with the title no one can pronounce goes portable and all strategery-like and QC's got the word on how that turned out.

His second piece is a triple-header of WipEout titles covering the PS1, PS2, and PSP! Vroom, vroom motherfuckers at the speed of light. Does F-Zero's biggest challenger for the HOLY FUCK SLOW DOWN A BIT Crown have what it takes for the checkered flag or does it just spin out, putter, and die?

I'll be pluckin' a few more reviews here in the next couple weeks or so. I hope. Until then, the world should know I now have a PSP now. (God, do I ever get redundant when I'm tired...) I'm not sure why.

Cute n' Cuddly Assassins Inc. Part II
November 2nd, circlenine

It's crazy how damn fast time flies. I can't believe it's been nearly eight months since I last reviewed one of them there Japanese Cartoons. Lucky for you, if you've got a thing for little girls and big guns, I've got the fix for your sick freak brain today.

I've uploaded not one, but two nice and lengthy Japanese Cartoon reviews for your reading consumption. Up first, a show I touched upon way back in 2005 on the mainpage: A full review for the first season of Gunslinger Girl. And if you find you haven't had your fill of cute little assassins just yet, I've also completed a Gunslinger Girl -Il Teatrino- review as well to round out the entire series. So there ya go, I hope you choke on them both!

Now if you'll excuse me, it's attack of the .xml files here at SMPS HQ. Looks like a storm's a-brewin'.
