So, even though I've left the site to sit here and just look pretty for a while, I've actually been quite busy plucking away at my videroogame library. I daresay, the past few months have been not only the busiest I've been work and personal life-wise, but also so immersed in a hobby I felt was dead only a few years ago. Turns out I've also used the power of social networking to continue writing about a lot of the games I'm tearing through, and I've decided to move some of those reviews here so they'll be easier to convert and futz around with when I finally get around to having the site redesigned and rebuilt.
So, here ya go! A big bunch of game reviews to look at!

How Indefinite Is Indefinite?

Hey folks! Been a while, hasn't it? Well, there's a reason for that, and we're gonna discuss it right now!
No point in beating around the bush, so I'll just straight up tell you that Socksmakepeoplesexy.Net is now on indefinite hiatus. Truthfully, it has been for a while. You've likely noticed that the last year hasn't been the most eventful and content is only gradually finding its way out in short spurts like it did at the end of last year, but I've felt I needed to do this for a while. Ever since the huge stink a lot of folks made over the GiantBpwn joke last year, I've just...not really enjoyed the site as much. Call it a childish way of thinking, but the reaction to the Final Fantasy articles being pulled as part of the joke and how rude people were about it honestly made me question what I'm doing here, and put a whole sour spin on me wanting to really do anything with the site anymore. I know some of you out there will beg to differ and tell me that shit doesn't matter, and you're right! But that's also seven years of work you've put in that people are shitting on in very personal and insulting ways, and that'll grate on you after a while. Again, I know it's dumb to pay any mind, but it has colored my view of working on the site for now, and I'm just gonna go with it. I'm also stupidly busy in real life these days, and just don't have as much time to keep up with things, so it eventually had to happen at some point.
So, what's all this mean then? Well, the site's not going anywhere and neither are the forums. they'll still always be here for you to read and post at and all that fun stuff. If something's worth posting on the site that a friend passed my way or someone's working on a big feature or project, it'll get posted, but regular updates are done for now.
I'm sure we'll get back into the swing of things at some point. During this downtime, I'd like to have the site entirely redesigned as a way to freshen things up and getting content out quicker as well, so I'll still be looking out for it.
In the meantime, if you find yourself in desperate need of your Polly fix and still wanna keep up on what I'm doing so you can tell your friends that you and I are super best buds, I've started one of those stupid Tumblr things to post knee-jerk reactions to shit, and you have my sincerest promise I won't use it to post dumb cat pictures or something. Anything I post there will be in some way substantial. You can also use it to ask me stuff and I might just answer!
And so, we close the book on Socksmakepeoplesexy.Net for now, but just like your favorte migraine headache, we'll be back at some point in the future. You just never know when.
